wedding ring

For our wedding ring, we wanted it simple pero yung magttagal.  Ours was a tight-budget wedding so we just set aside a budget of 15k or maximum of 20k for our wedding ring.   We wanted to have two-toned (white & yellow gold)  I want mine to have at least one diamond but hubby-2-be doesn't want any diamond in his ring, as in gusto nya plain lang though same style pa rin kami ng ring less diamond nga lang sa kanya.

Mga pinagpipilian namin:

1) white gold with yellow gold cross=style design in the center and I wanted sana to put the diamond at the center of the cross    ..... pero comment ng sister ko na looks more of a rosary than a wedding ring.hehehe.

2)  A plain yellow gold with our names engrave into it.. this is one of my best choice pero I have no idea kung saan mkkbili ng ganito.

3)   I like this one too, white gold with three stripes yellow gold and 3 diamonds, kaso our budget will not fit this one kasi madaming diamonds.

4)  Hubby wanted this one kasi it's perfect lang daw and if ito daw ang napili namin eh he'll have one diamond na rin daw sa ring nya (thinking..thinking...)

4) This one is my choice, pero hubby-2-be said that it won't look good daw without diamonds and yung style daw eh very feminine. (:-( sad

We haven't visited any jewelry store yet kasi we wanted sana to have a final design para we can present it to the store para magaya nila.

wedding gown quotations

I already went to Divisoria, since tight budget wedding namin, and asked for my gown quotation.  My gown is one strapped with beads on the bust area and drapped skirt.

Leony Bautista quoted me 15k for my gown

Dhan & Mayette quoted me 15k , but i haggled it til 12k.

Dancing Barbie quoted me 8k for the gown.

MVK & Angelika quoted me 12k.

Magkkaiba ang prices nila, ang iba mababa at ang iba naman ay mataas.  I'm choosing between Mayette & Barbie.  Barbie did my friend's sister's wedding gown and maganda rin naman ang output.  Tight budget namin and the most swak sa budget namin is Barbie.

Hubby-2-be wanted me to get Barbie pero I told him that I still need to think about it.

Choosing my wedding gown

Choosing for my wedding gown is not that easy, not being blessed with big chest makes me choosy on the gown I'd wear.  I don't like beads so I want my gown to concentrate or the details to focus on my lower part or skirt.

Since I first saw this gown, it really captivates me and I told myself that "this is it"

I really like the skirt of this gown, and simula ng makita ko sya hindi ko na maalis sa isip ko...hahaha.. parang love at 1st sight.

But then again, I don't want the upper part kasi parang I feel that I would look older with the lace aside from makati ito (i think).  I want something na naiiba, but NO to tube top.  I want it something different, and when I saw this gown again I feel na parang gusto ko rin ito.

I'm thinking on how to combine the style of these gowns...

After Ondoy

A day after the typhoon, humupa na ang ulan at wala na rin baha. Grabeng dumi ang iniwan ng baha, we started cleaning pero hassle kasi ayaw muna pagamitin ang tubig dahil nababad daw ang motor sa baha at ssabog daw pag ginamit kaagad kaya nakiigib pa kami sa labasan para lang may maipanlinis kami.

Tambay ang basura, labahan at hugasan.

Haaayy.. grabe naman ang bagyong ito, unforgettable talaga.

Bagyong Ondoy

Grabe ang experience ko sa higanteng bagyong ito!... When I went to work on friday night (i'm on night shift from 9pm til 6am) umuulan na pero hindi nman masyadong malakas, the next day at around 6.30 am pag-out ko ng opis hindi rin umuulan kaya my officemates decided na we'll go together at SM North for our Annual Physical Exam. We finished APE at around 10am sobrang lakas na ng hangin at ulan at baha na sa labas ng SM North, so pinasakay muna ako ng mga kasama ko papuntang MRT kasi I'm not familiar sa place since lahat naman sila eh taga north area. Nung nasa MRT nako along Santolan Station nakita ko na baha sa Edsa at stacked at mga sasakyan and nagttaka nako kasi 1st time kong makitang baha sa Edsa but after I got off at Ayala Station and still not fully aware of what's really happening, I went to SM Makati and did some groceries, nung paglabas ko around 11am nakasara ang Glorietta kasi pinasok daw ng tubig. Mahirap kumuha ng taxi kaya naglakad ako papuntang taas ng Park Square 1 para magjeep na lang sana pauwi pero pagdating ko dun walang jeep na bmbiyahe at maraming pila ng pasahero. Dun ko lang naunawaan kung ano'ng nangyyari, baha na sa Pasay Road esp. Makati Cinema Square/Washington at hindi na passeable kasi til dibdib na daw. I don't know what to do or where to pass and I don't have cellphone with me, papasundo sana ako sa b.f. ko. But kung baha na eh I have no choice kundi maghintay na humupa ang ulan at baha. Time passed, I was there at 11.30am pero 3pm na ng magdecide ang isang driver na ihatid ang mga pasahero and we'll take the route of edsa and right turn at evangelista (thanks God! kasi evangelista ang place ko) yun nga lang mejo swapang kasi siningil kami ng 10pesos each instead of the usual 7pesos, marami nagreklamo pero syempre pare pareho kami gustong makauwi kaya pumyag na rin lahat.

3pm umalis ang jeep sa glorietta, nakita ko na maraming tao ang nagllakad na lang kahit sa gitna ng highway(overpass ng magallanes) kasi baha sa babang part ng magallanes, halos inabot kami ng 2 hours eh sobrang lapit lang naman ng evangelista. Nung paliko n sa kanto ng evangelista pinara kami kasi hindi na raw mkkdaan dahil hanggang bewang na ang tubig sa unahan at ttirik na daw talaga ang mga sasakyan pag dumaan pa dun. No choice again kun bumaba at maghanap ng way kung paano makakauwi, that's around 5pm na and I'm worried kasi ayaw kong maabutan ng gabi sa daan at isa pa mabigat ang dala kong 2 plastic ng grocery. Lakasan n lang ng loob kaya lumusong n talaga ako ng hanggang bewang na baha kasi pang 5th street lang naman bahay ko, Grabe! habang nakalusong ako sa baha pakiramdam ko ang dumi2x ko may nkkita akong ipis at tae na lmlutang! Yucks! pagdating ko sa haws nagulat ako kasi hanggang tuhod ang baha sa loob ng haws and 1st time kami binaha. Buti naitaas na ng kapatid ko ang ref, computer, dvd player at mga sapatos. Pero nabasa ang bed ko (sa baba kasi ako natulog nung friday kasi mainit sa taas) pati mga unan at kumot at pati sofa namin nabasa din at lahat ng dvd's at ang ilang sapatos din n nasa baba. Nagising kasi kpatid ko 10am at pagbaba nila (2nd floor kc rooms) baha na kaya hindi nila naagapan ang ibang gamit agad na mababa lang lagyan.

cancelled pre-cana seminar

Haaayy... we can't attend the pre-cana tomorrow Sept.26 kasi hindi pa dmdating yung endorsement letter namin, kasi ba naman eh kanina lang daw pn LBC ng sis ni hubby-to-be syempre mrreceive namin yan eh tomorrow afternoon pa eh morning ang seminar... kainis naman!

We have to go back again at Sta.Clara at magpalista para naman sa Oct.3 na seminar....

Pre-Cana Seminar

It's time to look for a church that would accomodate us for the pre-cana seminar. Pumunta kaming Don Bosco-Makati pero sad to say that their seminar is already closed because they only do it once a month daw and puno na daw list nila... nkkasad kc ito sana pnkamalapit at convenient sa amin na church pero okay lang.

2nd stop, we went to San Ildefonso at A.Arnaiz but they don't have yet schedule of seminar kc wala pa raw silang ikkasal... may ganun palang church na walang pmpili para dun magpakasal?

Wala na kaming ibang alam na church na malapit kaya napag usapan namin na kapag hindi pa rin kami na-accomodate sa 3rd na ppuntahan namin eh we have no choice kundi umuwi n lang ulit ng province at dun magpasched ng seminar (both church & city hall).

Last church - Sta. Clara de Montefalco at Pasay, they have sched of seminar every 1st & 4th saturday of the month. We agreed to attend the seminar on Sept.26 pero according to them, we just have to bring our endorsement letter and be back at least a day before (sept.25) to confirm attendance.

So that's it.. happy that we had already schedule of this pre-cana seminar.... September 26.

first step

Ang hirap din pala kapag sa province ang wedding tapos both kayo eh andito sa Maynila nagwwork. Parents ko lang ang pnpakiusapan ko na maglakad ng mga papers na kailangan and naikuha naman nya ako ng Confirmation certificate saka permit to marry outside parish. Limited ang time namin na umuwing province kc nga we both have work here in Manila and mahirap humingi ng permit for Vacation Leave, pero we were able to go home last Sept.5-8 kasi nga aayusin sana namin mga requirements/papers na kailangan kaso after kong makakuha ng flight sched ay saka nman nadeclare ni GMA na holiday ang Sept.7, so talagang sira ang plano nmin.

Pero anyway, since hindi na pwedeng mpcancel ang flight schedule at pati VL sa opis eh tumuloy pa rin kami pauwi. I'm just thankful that the Parish Office is open nung Sept.7, kaya nasubmit namin Baptismal Certificate, Confirmation Certificate and Permit to Marry outside Parish and nainterview din kami ng Parish Priest pero initial interview pa lang pala iyon at meron pang final interview at ggawin naman ito after namin mag attend ng Pre-cana seminar. (medyo nagkaproblema pa nga sa Baptismal ko kasi I was baptised under the Faith Lutheran Church and lumalabas na Protestant ako-although Catholic naman akong pinalaki ng parents ko, buti n lang tinanggap na ni Father kasi meron naman daw akong confirmation under catholic church). The date that we got in the Church is December 30 at 10am kasi yun n lang available and halos puno na sched.

Tumingin din kami ng possible venues for reception and isa sa tiningnan namin ay St.Matthew's Hall - it's parish owned hall na usually ay pinaggganpan ng mga meetings, seminars, activities and receptions and just in front of the church. We've decided na yun na lang kunin kasi malapit lang sa church and wala ng hassle sa transportation of guests, kakilala din ng sister ni hubby-to-be ang person in charge ng hall kaya it's a plus point and it can accomodate as much as 150 guests and swak na swak sa budget namin.

Last stop Sept.8 AM - Municipal City Hall.. 1st time ko makrating dito after syang malipat sa new location and I must say na maganda ang building..anywayz, 2nd floor ang PMC office and nakausap namin ang incharge of seminar and told him about our situation kasi we wanted sana to have the seminar on-the-stop kasi we're flying back to Manila in the afternoon pero hindi pala pwede ang ganun kasi schedule din nila every friday 8am-4pm. Buti mabait yung nakausap namin, he told us na we can reschedule our seminar on our most convenient date (friday) but the best option that he told us is that we can also have our seminar sa Manila , we just have to state our situation and ppayag naman daw (we've opted for choice 2).

Haay, nagmmadali na kami to catch our flight back in Manila and muntik pa kaming mahuli sa flight sched kasi mabagal yung nasaktan namin van

Back in Manila... but I'm happy na may nagawa kami kahit unti.
